Would you like fries with that?

It's been forever since I last posted a Blog... and now that i'm starting to get a little more time to do so, I will try to post more often.
What's happened?
Well...
There's so much happening that it's hard, really, to go through it all in one post. But the synopsis..

I got a new job. One that actually has a ton of promise.
In my last job, I felt suppressed, kept in the dark, and stretched far too thin. I'd come home from work and shut down; literally. I really didn't want to talk to anyone when i got home, and when people talked to me, I'd snap and pretty much have to tell them.. "Leave me alone for at least an Hour!"

But here i'm part of a great team of professionals that actually know how to be a team.
Now.. what do i do?
I can't tell you. And that's the truth. But suffice it to say.. it's cool shit!

We are getting a little further in our quest to adopt a kid.. There's a link to our Baby blog on the right link menu if you're interested in following along... Our first Home-Meeting with a case-worker is tomorrow.. updates will be posted on the blog as they come.

We did some camping last weekend at Deb's Dad's property in Cobden. Very nice spot - but damn was it hot!! way too hot at night. But we had a blast on his boat .. did some fishing.. well deb and raymond did some fishing.. i sat and enjoyed watching... but all in all.. a great weekend.

And finally on the band front.. we played our first Real Blues Fest.. at the Otty Lake Blues Cruise.. essentially 6 bands, one night of bbq fun in the sun..

We had to learn 26 songs in 2 months for this little gig... but boy was it worth it. WE had a blast... great music among some of the best blues artists Ottawa offers... so I was really stoked to be among them..
